I think you may be have meant Class F testing, not Category 7 testing.

There is no such thing as a Category 7 link. There is however something called a Class F link, found in ISO/IEC 11801 and EN50173. A Class F link is made from Category 7 components. In the ISO/IEC and EN world, links are defined as Classes and the components making up these Classes are defined as Categories. Very different to what we see in the North American Cabling Standards.

People often incorrectly refer to Class F as Category 7 when talking about installed links. You now know this is technically incorrect. If you need to know more about Class F, please click here.
